The USDA 502 Single Family Housing Program is funded through the USDA Rural
Development.  The local office is in Johnstown, New York and ACRHA is available to
assist with the application and packaging of these loans.  The purpose of this program is
to provide financing to low and very low-income persons who can not obtain credit from
other sources in order to obtain adequate housing in rural areas.  Funding may be used
to buy, build, rehabilitate, improve, or relocate an eligible single family dwelling and
improve related facilities for use by the borrower as a permanent residence.

The
USDA 504 Grant/Loan is funded through the USDA Rural Development.  The local
office is in Johnstown, New York and ACRHA is able to assist with the application and
packaging of these loans and grants.  Eligible applicants must be located in the rural
Albany County USDA service area.  Grants of up to $7,500 are available to assist
qualified persons 62 years of age or older and loans are available up to $20,000 to
assist qualified persons of any age with necessary home repairs.
