If you are thinking about purchasing a home,
the first step you should take is to attend a
HUD-approved home buyer education course!
ACRHA, Inc. offers a course every six to eight weeks on a Saturday from 9am to 5pm.

The Home Buyer Education class is offered online through e-home America. The fee for the online class is $99.00 and you will receive a certificate of completion* at the end
contingent on a passing score on the test. Yes, there is a test but if you pay attention you'll pass.
* You will need to meet with a housing counselor prior to obtaining your certificate.

Completion of an approved homebuyer education course is a prerequisite for ACRHA's
down payment programs. It may also be a requirement for obtaining
mortgage financing. ACRHA will accept a certificate of completion from
other agencies on a case-by-case basis.
